This three-hour guided e-bike ride, run by Japan Wonder Travel, starts in Tsukiji and pedals out toward Tokyo Bay, timing the route so riders catch the skyline in late light and after dark. The group is capped at six travellers. Everything rolls out from and returns to the Compass Bike shop in Tsukiji, so there is no transfer to worry about at either end.
The route takes in a mix of named stops and pass-by sights. Riders stop at Sumiyoshi Shrine, pass the Tokyo Skytree and teamLab Planets from the saddle, pause at Tokyo Big Sight, and finish with a longer stop at Aqua City Odaiba, with Tsukiji passed on the way. E-bike rental, a helmet, a guide, a traditional Japanese snack, luggage storage and, in winter, gloves are all part of the package.
It is open to travellers aged over twelve and over 147 cm tall who want a guided group ride rather than a solo rental. A reviewer travelling with a 14-year-old said the trip worked well for both of them, and the same reviewer praised the relaxed feel and the break from central Tokyo's bustle. Arrive 15 minutes early for the e-bike briefing, since latecomers cannot join mid-way.
A few practical points will help you decide whether this ride fits your trip.

Common issues. Everyone meets at the Compass Bike shop in Tsukiji and the tour is not wheelchair accessible. Riders under 147 cm, aged 12 or younger, over 120 kg, pregnant, or with back or heart problems are not allowed or not recommended to join. The end time can slip by around 30 minutes because of traffic, so leave slack in your evening plans. If poor weather cancels the ride you will be emailed with options, including a full refund. Bike rentals without a guide are not offered, and a signed participation agreement is required before setting off.
It starts and ends at the Tokyo Cycling Tours Compass Bike shop at 6-chome-11-5 Tsukiji, Chuo City, Tokyo. Arrive 15 minutes before the start time for the e-bike briefing.
The e-bike rental, guide fee, helmet, a Japanese traditional snack, luggage storage and a knapsack if you need one are all included. Gloves are provided in winter. Every stop is free to enter, so there are no entry fees to budget for.
Ages 12 and under are not permitted, and riders must be taller than 147 cm (4.82 ft). One reviewer's 14-year-old enjoyed the trip. The maximum rider weight is 120 kg.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window no refund is given and changes are not accepted. If the tour is cancelled for poor weather you can choose a different date or a full refund.
If the operator decides the tour cannot run, they email you the day before, offering a switch to another indoor activity, a date change, or a full refund. Weather can also shift on the day itself, in which case they email again and may cancel for safety.
The tour runs three hours with a maximum of six travellers and a guide. The end time may be delayed about 30 minutes depending on traffic. A participation agreement is required before the ride.
